Description

JUP! is a mobile application for iOS and Android that connects young people in the Amt Süderbrarup community with local offerings and strengthens their participation in community life. The app brings together local events, news, and short videos in one central place, and lets young people actively engage in community topics through surveys and polls. In community groups and through comments, they connect and exchange ideas with one another. A playful rewards system — featuring badges, leaderboards, and QR-code check-ins at youth meeting spots — encourages active on-site participation. Push notifications keep users informed at all times. JUP! places particular emphasis on data protection: optional usage analytics are fully anonymized, opt-in, and age-verified, making them GDPR-compliant. The app is open source under the EUPL-1.2 licence.
