Descrizione
hanno.guide is a native app (iOS/Android) and Progressive Web App, built as a smart-city project of the City of Hannover. Interactive maps show historically interesting places as Points of Interest (POIs), letting users explore the city and learn about the past of places, buildings, and squares - independent of a physical museum visit, and including comparisons with their present-day appearance and use.
A browser-based content management system lets the client and cooperating institutions author, georeference, and publish content themselves, with per-item visibility control and user/role management for distributed editing. The platform is designed as an app-in-app solution, so different institutions (e.g. the Historical Museum, ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage, City Archive) can have their own visually and thematically distinct areas.
The application is free, ad-free, and accessible per Germany's Accessibility Strengthening Act and EN 301 549 (contrast and font-size settings, screen-reader optimization). The project is developed as part of the #HANnovativ smart-city initiative and is continuously extended with additional content formats (including augmented reality) and collaboration spaces.
