Umwandler 0.1.0

Umwandler registers as a handler for the Office Open XML formats and converts a file to OpenDocument as it is opened. The result is then opened in a real editor — Microsoft Office or LibreOffice, whichever the workstation has. The application is built for managed estates. It deploys silently, is controlled entirely through Group Policy or Intune, and every setting is IT-locked by default. With no policy assigned it stays dormant and changes nothing. Moving to ODF as the house format and moving off Microsoft Office are two different projects. Umwandler addresses the first and leaves the second open: it converts on open and therefore works where Office is still in use. That is the direction the Deutschland-Stack and the sovereign workplace work set — open, documented formats whose readability does not depend on one vendor. Umwandler sends no data. The log stays on the workstation and can be kept without personal reference, omitting paths and account names.
